Registration will open on January 1st. Early bird fees will be available until February 14th (Valentine’s Day – to make the date memorable!). Mark your calendars and be sure to secure your spot early as categories tend to fill up quickly.

RACE CATEGORIES AND DISTANCES:
Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping experience across multiple race categories, including our traditional Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed premier 500m and our extremely popular 1,000m races. We also have the exciting Youth Mixed Crews (aged 12-17) 500m races. Make sure to check the details and plan your team's entries accordingly.
NEW THIS YEAR:
The Lamma 500 is introducing the new “500m Mixed Team Corporate Cup”, adding an exciting dimension to its history of strong community and corporate teams. The "Mixed Corporate Cup Final," will be open to corporate, business, or association teams at no extra cost beyond the regular entry fee.
Throughout the day, all teams will compete in standard heats. The top-performing crews will advance to their respective final races at the end of the day. The top-scoring Corporate Teams get the chance to participate in the Corporate Cup final. This is optional and can complement their participation in regular finals. For instance, if a team like BNP Paribas Dragons secures a place in both the Plate Final (7th fastest Mixed Premier team) and the Corporate Cup Final (3rd fastest Mixed Corporate Cup team), they can choose to race in one or both finals based on their preference.
This presents an opportunity to vie for the title of the best in the Corporate Dragon Boat Community while still competing in the standard finals. Importantly, there's no additional charge for Corporate Cup competitors; eligibility is for corporate or association teams (e.g., Cathay Pacific Dragons or Association of Chartered Accountants). Teams can decide whether to enter this category, making it an optional feature for those keen on exploring this exciting new aspect of the event.

Race Equipment: All race equipment, including paddles, will be provided. However, teams are welcome to use their own IDBF-compliant paddles.

Green Event: Embracing sustainability, the Lamma 500 is a Green Event. We encourage all teams to bring refillable water bottles and use our free of charge water station. The Lamma 500 is also a paperless event and we provide an online event program with a continually updated race progression. More information will follow on trash, food, and recycling separation. We are determined to make 2024 our cleanest and greenest yet!

Supporting Causes: The Lamma 500 proudly supports the environmental charity Plastic Free Seas (www.plasticfreeseas.org) and the inspiring not-for-profit Women in Sports Empowered Hong Kong (睿動香港) (www.wisewomenhk.org), which aims to educate, empower, and connect women and girls through sports.
